Data

Email address: Holds your account, and receives the code or link you sign in with. Art. 6(1)(b). There is no password to store.
Session records: IP address, browser user agent: Lets a compromised account be signed out everywhere. Art. 6(1)(f).
Profile: first name, family name, playing hand, draw, picture: Shown on your player page. Every field is optional and you can clear any of them. Art. 6(1)(a). Your name is the one part shown to anyone: on your player page, and beside your votes on a tournament. When you have typed no name, two letters of your account identifier stand in for it, and your address is not used for this at all. The switch on your profile decides the rest, and a new profile starts closed. Your email address is never shown, and the page is addressed by an account identifier rather than by your address.
SquashLevels link: player number, name, club, level, country: Read from the SquashLevels profile you link, and read again at most once every four hours while your page is open. Unlinking deletes all of it. Art. 6(1)(a).
Rankedin link: player number, name, club, country, rating: Read from the Rankedin profile you link, and read again at most once every four hours while your page is open. Unlinking deletes all of it. Art. 6(1)(a).
Tournament votes: which dates you ticked: Counted on the tournament page so the day that suits the most people can be found, and shown there as totals and as a row of the people under each date, by name and picture. Unticking every date removes your answer. Art. 6(1)(a). The draw on your profile is counted with them, so the totals can be read per draw.
Tournament entries: whether you play, and when you answered: Needed to place you in a draw. While you are registered you are listed on the tournament page by name and picture, under the draw on your profile. Registering asks for your first name, last name and draw if your profile does not have them yet, and saves them there. Art. 6(1)(b). Answering no, or withdrawing, takes you off the list and keeps the answer, so the page does not ask you again.
Announcements: whether you asked for them, and when: Set when you tick the box on the join form or the switch on your profile, and the date is what shows us when you did. Art. 7(1). Turning it off clears both and takes effect immediately, Art. 6(1)(a). Mail about a tournament you have voted on or entered is part of taking part and does not depend on this switch, Art. 6(1)(b).
Contact form: name, email address, message: Reaches our inbox so we can answer. Never written to the database. Art. 6(1)(f).

Ballwerk is not using any advertising software, tracking cookies or analytics. We only use the session cookie for authentication purposes.

Recipients

Your account is stored in Frankfurt, Germany, and our server code runs there. These parties process data on our behalf:

If you link a SquashLevels profile, our server asks SquashLevels for that profile using the player number in the link you pasted. The request carries no email address and no account identifier, and it is our server that makes it, not your browser. Their privacy policy covers what they do with it.

A linked Rankedin profile works the same way: our server asks for that profile using the player number in the link you pasted, carrying no email address and no account identifier.

Retention

Accounts stay until you delete them. The button is on your player page, and it removes your account, your profile, your picture, your linked profiles, your tournament votes and entries and your announcement preference together. Unconfirmed accounts are removed after 30 days. Session records expire on their own. Contact mail is deleted once the conversation ends.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection: Art. 15 to 21. Mail hello@ballwerk.link and we act within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, Art. 77.
